About This Project

Sunset, for MV Interior Design at Marbella Design & Art

Challenge: The interior design team asked us to be inspired by the sky of an Asturian sunset.

It was a pleasure to prepare this project because it allowed us to look at sunsets and observe and enjoy the skies in their real state. Always different, changing and magical.

The biggest challenge was translating such an incredible natural spectacle into our textile art.

Solution: To achieve the tonalities and gradients typical of the sunset, we chose organza. It is a transparent, fine and whimsical fabric that allows us to combine layers of colors to obtain new tones; just as if we painted with the layers of fabric.

In addition, we have cut each layer so that when hanging the panels from the ceiling, we achieve the 3D relief effect that reminds us of the irregular shapes of clouds.
