About This Project

Client: Visto Images for Hotel Ritz, Madrid.

Challenge: Design and creation of a big scale (330 cm x 330 cm) tapestry 100% handcrafted. To convey a contemporary style on a classic artwork, which also required (by the client) the use of white and gold colours together with tassel-type elements.

Solution: Developing a design that would meet the client request. Incorporating golden colour into the weave of the tapestry and combine different knots to add richness and a sense of contemporaneity. More than 600 tassels hang on the tapestry.

Inspiration: Cascades of colour, doors to a cascade of colour and light.
